How are you going to live self-discipline outside the dojo? Previously students have said:
– I have shown discipline at home by getting the washing done in the morning on the weekend before taking time out to relax. – Teale

To achieve your next belt there are a series of small goals to work towards, and your achievements will be recognised by earning “Tips”.
MARTIAL ARTS STUDENTS –
1x Skill Tip per month plus Fitness and 3 Life Skill Tips
5 x Skills Tips (Strikes, Kicks, Self Defence, Traditional, Fitness) are earned in class by practising and perfecting the skills outlined in the Grading Curriculum.
The Grading Curriculum can be found in your Spark Member App, and paper copies are available from reception.
Each month, Martial Arts students focus on one set of skills and work towards that Tip in every class. Use the On Demand Video Library in your Members app for extra helping while practising at home.
The last week of each month is PROGRESS WEEK. During every class that week, students will show what they learned throughout the month and if successful, will earn their Tip. If not, the Instructors will provide specific feedback on where they need to improve. Students are welcome to attend an extra class during Progress Week if they would like to be retested.
Don’t worry if you don’t achieve the tip straight away, keep practising and testing will come around again.
On Monday of Grading Week, we also hold a Special Tip Testing class. This class is just for Martial Arts students who have missed out on the last tip they need for grading, and have practised enough to be ready for testing. Just book in via your Members App, like a make up class and earn that last tip in time to register for grading.
The Fitness Tip is tested during the week after grading every month. Keep up your fitness training every day, and this one will be a breeze.
LITTLE NINJAS – 1 X Tip per week (8 tips in total)
Balance, Focus, Coordination, Memory, Fitness, Confidence, and Discipline are earned in class by practising and perfecting the skills outlined in the Grading Curriculum.

You will have full access to ALL the training videos for each of your skills and techniques required for next belt. This makes training at home easy. We even have lessons on how parents can help their children practise at home. You can also access this via our website using the MEMBER LOGIN link & the same username and password as your member app.
